New York City is one of the hottest destinations on the planet regardless of the season, but with summer coming to a close, time is running out for travelers to take in some of the top attractions and activities the city has to offer.
Fortunately, there's still time to plan your getaway. And while you're there, be sure to indulge in one of these five activities.

If the weather permits, head over to the New York Hilton Midtown's Herb N' Kitchen, where you can purchase a $68 food basket filled with sandwiches, signature salads, cheese, New York cheesecake and a bottle of wine.
Since it comes complete with a blanket, plates and glasses, it's all you'll need to enjoy a summer picnic in nearby Central Park.
Take a Cruise on the Spirit of New York

A cruise aboard Spirit Cruises' Spirit of New York is perhaps the best way to take in the iconic sights of the Big Apple in the summertime.
With prices starting at less than $53 per person, visitors can choose from brunch, lunch or dinner cruise options and take in stellar views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade Center while they dine or enjoy a cocktail on the ship's rooftop deck.
Enjoy a Cocktail at Bookmarks Lounge

If you prefer dry land, check out the Library Hotel's rooftop bar, the Bookmarks Lounge.
The hotel is home to thousands of books, including rare collections. Guests are also certain to find inspiration from a visit to the book-themed Bookmarks Lounge, where they can order unique coktails like The Hemingway.

It's not too late to stop by Del Frisco's Grille New York's final weekend outdoor patio party of August and try your hand at a game of rosé pong.
If that doesn't pique your interest, you can join in various other lawn games, including more traditional ones like cornhole, life-size jenga and giant scrabble, among others.
Those visiting Del Frisco's on Labor Day weekend can enjoy Executive Chef Brian Christman's special, off-menu lobster, goat cheese and chive tortelloni.
