Does business travel always have to be stressful? An article in Business 2 Community points out several ways that people can make traveling for work more enjoyable.
The article notes that for every dollar companies put into business travel, they receive more than $12 back in return and it is a fantastic way for employees to grow both personally and professionally. However, many employees say that they find traveling for work stressful.
CWT Solutions Group conducted a survey of 6,000 business travelers on 33 factors that could trigger stress. As it turns out, the 33 factors all fit into three major categories: lost time, surprises such as canceled flights and breaking daily routines.
Business 2 Community writer Tony Tie, a senior search marketer at Expedia Canada, offers several solutions to travelers on how to combine business with pleasure while traveling for work.
"For years, people have bought into the idea that business travel and stress had to go hand in hand, but that's simply not the case," he writes. "When you invest in resources like these, you and your colleagues will start seeing travel as a way to grow not only from a professional standpoint, but also a personal one."
