Travel Blog of the Day: Curious Cat Expat

The internet is laden with blogs about travel. You don’t have time to read them all; you have to perfect your recipe for a Cosmopolitan Martini. This column will allow you to sift through the schlock and get back to your excuse for over-drinking! Check us out on twitter at #travelblogoftheday.

Getting out of your comfort zone is tough. Many people will stay in jobs for years where they are unhappy, underappreciated, or under-challenged. Sometimes it takes a wake-up call to make a change happen and sometimes the change just happens organically. Either way, there is a shakeup of the status quo. These can be easy times or hard, good times or bad. Any way you slice it, change is a big part of the experience pie.  Today’s blogger shares those experiences with us, her readers.

Curious Cat Expat

Inta Fish is her name (believe it or not) and she is an ex-New Yorker who lives in Italy currently. She was a corporate gal for a number of years who found herself wanting to make a change and move overseas. She had nothing to hold her back and really nothing to go with except her drive and goals. Four years later, she is successfully living in Milan, blogging and trying to help other people make a change in their lives, too.

Curious Cat Expat is a inclusion of Inta’s personal stories, travel experiences, information and fun. Inta has broken her entries down into categories such as Expat 101: Essentials, Inspiration (broken down by destination) and Expat Diaries. Her Expat 101 sections are filled with great information and advice for anyone looking to make a move overseas.

The stories of her experience in moving herself to Milan is inspiring and fun. Her photos look great and her advice is sound. Even for those not looking to move, Inta writes for the masses with quick hit, informative and interesting tidbits that apply to all. Take some time out of your day once a week or so and catch up with her and her experiences and you will be entertained. It may just inspire you to shake up your status quo.
