Travel Blog of the Day: My Hot Pink Passport

The internet is laden with blogs about travel. You don’t have time to read them all, you have to teach your mother all about snapchat. This column will allow you to sift through the schlock and get back to mom school! Check us out on twitter at #travelblogoftheday.

You may have heard of glamping. It is a combination of the words glamorous and camping where people who don’t like to rough it, have amenities available to them that you would not normally have. In other words they aren’t sacrificing luxury. Today’s blogger calls herself a glampacker, and she's taking glamping to the next level.

My Hot Pink Passport

Karisa Blake travels with a pink suitcase rather than a backpack, so right off the bat you know she takes her glam seriously. Her blow dryer, flat iron and make up bag make every trip with her. She always packs more than one pair of shoes and cute clothes to go with them. Suffice it to say, this woman does not skimp on style just because she is traveling the world.

One of her passions, in addition to all things glamorous, is women’s travel. Karisa writes about solo female travel, traveling with your girlfriends, and even travel with your mom. She also writes about boutique and luxury travel as well. She specializes in “boutique and luxury hotels, trendy restaurants, nightlife, wine tastings and art exhibitions from around the world.”

Her reviews and interviews are factual, fascinating and fun. If you get a chance, definitely bookmark My Hot Pink Passport. Even if you don’t mind roughing it, you will still learn something new, and find yourself smiling reading about a formal tea service in Ohio or what to wear in Myanmar. Now if I can just get a pink suitcase. I know that will be hard to miss on the baggage carousel!
