Travel Blog of the Day: Voyage Vixens

The internet is laden with blogs about travel. You don’t have time to read them all, you have to figure out what to do with your kids this summer.  This column will allow you to sift through the schlock and get back to finding a summer camp that’s not sold out! Check us out on twitter at #travelblogoftheday.

There are a lot of bloggers out there who write with the hope of inspiring someone. Whether they are young and new to exploring the world and their message is, “When you get out of school, you can do this, too!” Or they’re more seasoned and their message is, “You are never too old to get out there and do things.”  Either way, I applaud all the travel bloggers out there who are hoping that maybe they can help someone out, or maybe even make the world a little better. Today’s bloggers are about empowering, inspiring and smart and fun to boot.

Voyage Vixens

Lanee Lee and Lindsay Taub are the Voyage Vixens, seasoned writers whose work has appeared in publications like Every Day with Rachael Ray, Robb Report, Cooking Light, Virtuoso, Travel + Leisure, Boston Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Smarter Travel and more. So needless to say, they know what they are talking about. They have been to 51 countries across four continents and have no plans on stopping anytime soon.

They are both clearly foodies, with the first tab on their menu being “Eat-Drink-Wellness.” Here you can find recipes, reviews, and health advice. Then there is their “Inspire” tab which is full of nuggets of art and culture, views and quotes all bundled up nicely with a bit of personal stories and flare. They say that their goal is to inspire women to become vixens, which they define as, “smart and sassy women (and men, why not?!) who take action, scared sh**less or not, to turn their dreams into realities.”  Well reading the posts under “Inspire” will certainly get your juices flowing.

They offer advice, do reviews on products and places, and even offer a guide for traveling, tech and even music.  But at the end of the day, everything that you will read is well done, interesting and fun.  Bookmark them when you get the chance, and become a vixen yourself.
