In preparation for the anticipated record-breaking number of holiday travelers this year, TravelPulse Founder and CEO Mark Murphy appeared on Fox 20 Philadelphia Monday, offering several suggestions and tips for those thinking about hitting the road this year.

Murphy broke down the best and most affordable places to visit during the holiday season. For adults, Las Vegas is offering serious discounts, including roundtrip airfare from Philadelphia to Sin City for less than $300 and four-star hotels for around $100.

As for those traveling with children, a road trip to Williamsburg and the Kingsmill Resort will be an affordable vacation. With a mix of low gas prices and the resort charging around $360 a night for a one-bedroom condo, this is a great option for traveling families.

Murphy also offered key advice, suggesting that instead of trying to book everything for the journey on your own, looking to a travel agent for advice and guidance could help make the adventure even more enjoyable.

For the adventurers looking to make an international trip, Murphy suggested Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and its beautiful resorts. If you can’t make it during the holidays, Murphy had good news about an upcoming project for children of all ages: Nickelodeon Hotels.

Murphy told Fox29, “Coming this spring is a brand new concept; Nickelodeon Hotels. The first one ever is opening in Punta Cana, and if you can’t do the vacation now, hold off until the official opening on May 16. SpongeBob will be chilling in Punta Cana.”
