As the holiday season approaches, travelers have questions; TravelPulse Founder and CEO Mark Murphy is here with the answers, making the media rounds and sharing his expertise.
First, Murphy stopped by the set of CBS News to talk about how people can get the most out of their holiday travel. With money-saving advice about hotel deals in the Dominican Republic, Disney, Universal and Las Vegas, Murphy outlined ways to making visiting relatives less of a burden.
When asked about the best time to fly during the holiday season, Murphy said, "You have to look at strategic days. Are you OK flying Christmas Day? That's cheap. Don't come back on New Year's Eve. You have to stay away from those days. The trick with travel when trying to find a great deal is flexibility."

Murphy also made an appearance as a guest analyst on ABC 7NEWS Denver during a segment about airlines charging extra baggage fees during the holiday season.
The ABC News team discussed whether it was cheaper to ship your bags through a third party or pay the baggage fees. Murphy explained that as long as the consumers continue to pay the extra cash, the airlines are going to continue charging these fees.
