Donald Trump's stunning victory in the 2016 U.S. presidential election has prompted many travelers to begin planning a fall escape. For those who've set their sights on Canada, here are four hotel deals to consider.

Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel

Where: Montreal, Quebec

What could be better than staying in an award-winning all-suite hotel for less than $100 per night? How about being right next door to Montreal's top attraction in the Notre-Dame Basilica.

Currently, travelers booking through luxury flash deals site Secret Escapes can land a suite at Montreal's four-star Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel for as little as $96 per night, compared to typical rates that surpass $130.

Highlights of the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning hotel include a permanent exhibition of works by designer Jean-Claude Poitras and Suite Stories, a short-story anthology co-written by more than a dozen past guests.

Fairmont Pacific Rim

Where: Vancouver, British Columbia

The five-star Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver is offering several promotions at the moment, including a Family Affair Package offering 50 percent off of a second room when families book one room or suite at regular price.

Valid for travel year-round, rates start at $259 for the first room and $129 for the discounted second room, making it the perfect election escape for families looking to recharge.

Thompson Toronto

Where: Toronto, Ontario

Three-hundred-plus miles southwest of Montreal, the four-star Thompson Toronto is also well within reach for travelers on a budget this fall. Right now, guests who book through Secret Escapes can score a room at the hip hotel for less than $150 per night. For comparison, typical room rates at the hotel often exceed $200.

Located in Toronto's King West Village, there's no shortage of things to do around Thompson Toronto. However you won't be in a hurry to leave your room either, since every one boasts a floor-to-ceiling window allowing for gorgeous views of the city.

Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa

Where: Niagara Falls, Ontario

Elsewhere in Ontario, the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa is offering Marriott Rewards members a couples dinner and spa package through Nov. 15 starting at under $160 per night. The package includes an overnight stay, breakfast for two, a $40 dinner credit at the Terrapin Grille and a $40 credit for the Serenity Spa.
