5 LGBT-Friendly Hotels Perfect for a Pride Month Getaway

June is LGBT Pride month and that means celebrations are taking place all month along all around the world.

For travelers looking to experience the annual celebration up close or simply eyeing an early summer getaway in an LGBT-friendly destination, here are five gay-friendly hotels that stand above the rest.

Where: Willemstad, Curacao

Curacao is not only an extraordinary summer destination but an LGBT-friendly one. After all, the Caribbean island boasts a regional-best 17 hotels and attractions with International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) memberships.

And if you're planning a trip to the Caribbean this Pride month, consider the Floris Suite Hotel & Spa, an adults-only hotel equipped with an LGBT-friendly social lounge known as the Rainbow Lounge.

The W Minneapolis - The Foshay is not only sponsoring this month's Twin Cities Pride parade, but it will also feature its very own float in the June 26 parade.

Puerto Vallarta is a renowned LGBT-friendly destination and therefore gay travelers aren't limited to their hotel room. The bars, restaurants and beaches are welcoming year-round.

Travelers celebrating Pride month in the Mexican resort town will want to explore the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa's "Pride and Joy" package. With the annual four-day Key West Pride event (June 8-12) set to take place this month, NYAH — which stands for "Not Your Average Hotel" — is a no-brainer.
