Warwick International Hotels (WIH) has entered into a management contract with Al Ebaa Company for the Babylon Warwick hotel, located on the edge of the Tigris River opposite the United States Embassy. The hotel has been fully renovated to meet the international five stars hotel standards to meet the expectations of international travelers.
Babylon Warwick Hotel consists of 300 rooms including four duplex suites. Its extensive facilities include indoor and outdoor Olympic swimming pools, a spa named the Warwick Spa with a Turkish bath, a fitness center, tennis courts, three conference rooms with a meeting capacity up to 750 guests, six restaurants and a cigar bar.
For the last two years, Warwick International Hotels has built a strong network in the Middle East region and now counts eight hotels under management contract: two in Jordan (Amman and Dead Sea), three in Lebanon (two in Beirut, one in Jiyeh), one in UAE (Dubai), one in Iraq (Baghdad), and in Qatar (Doha). Others will be announced very shortly.
"Warwick International Hotels 'ambition for the Middle East region is to reach a network of 15 hotels by 2016," said Jamal Serhan, VP & CEO for WIH in the MENA Region. "We are proud to have a new landmark hotel in the MENA region. This will reinforce the awareness of the Warwick brand and this will benefit to all WIH hotels. Our presence in the GCC will be soon improved by the opening of the Warwick Doha Hotel."
With a current network of 55 hotels throughout the world, Warwick International Hotels will continue its dynamic expansion on three directions: further acquisitions of hotels and resorts when appropriate opportunities arise, organic growth by way of management contracts and affiliations.
