The all-inclusive Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit Resort is inviting tourists to visit Mexico and celebrate Dia de los Muertos— the Day of the Dead — during Halloween weekend.
To celebrate the Mexican holiday, the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is offering guests the chance to fully immerse themselves in the culture with a theatrical dinner show, costume party, themed kids’ activities and more.
Other experiences include a cruise across Banderas Bay to the torch-lit beaches of Las Caletas for the Rhythms of the Night theatrical show and dinner, and some guests will be able to witness longstanding traditions like Pan de Muertos and ofrendas.
The Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has not forgotten about the children, as the resort offers special themed activities such as painting sugar skulls and a special showing of the Day of the Dead animated movie, “The Book of Life.”
This is a limited-time offer, though, as the Day of the Dead festivities at the resort are only available Oct. 30 through Nov. 2.
Prices for the Day of the Dead Experience start at $390 per person per night based on double occupancy, with pricing for children ages 5 to 16 set at $80 per child, per night. The package also includes airport transportation to and from the hotel, 10 percent off at the resort boutique and a $50 spa credit.
