Hotel & Resort | June 18, 2013
The 261-room Chedi Sakala is on schedule to open on the northern tip of Bali’s Nusa Dua peninsula late this year. The resort will have 247 suites and 14 private one- and two-bedroom pool villas, two swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club and lagoon bar as well as a Kids’ Club. The resort follows a precedent set by GHM’s two other properties on the island, The Legian Bali in Seminyak and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Ubud. Also on Nusa Dua, GHM has partnered with Singapore’s Sinni Villas to build the Chedi Nusa Penida in Crystal Bay. The 100-villa resort is scheduled to open in 2015.
Established in 1992, GHM’s (General Hotel Management Ltd.) portfolio includes: The Legian Bali; The Club at The Legian Bali; The Nam Hai Hoi An, Vietnam; The Ananti Kumgang Mountains, North Korea; The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, Ubud, Bali; The Chedi Muscat, Oman; and The Chedi Chiang Mai, Thailand.
GHM properties currently under development include The Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland; The Chedi Sakala, Bali; The Chedi Club Suzhou; The Aayu Mumbai; The Chedi Nusa Penida, Bali; The Chedi Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan; The Chedi Tamouda Bay, Morocco; The Chedi Khorfakkan, Sharjah, UAE; Al Bait Sharjah, UAE; and The Chedi Qutub, New Delhi.
