The Dusit Thani Guam's grand opening isn't scheduled until June, however the U.S. territory will debut its first newly constructed resort in nearly two decades with a soft opening for guests this April.
According to BreakingTravelNews.com, the 30-floor building is the tallest on the island and the only one to be categorized as a luxury resort.
"We are very excited to launch the Dusit Thani Guam resort in April," said Dusit International's vice president of sales and marketing Erena Chan. "Symbolizing many firsts for the island, from its size, to its convention center, to its Thai spa and cuisine offering, the most significant of these is that it’s the first time gracious Thai hospitality is being offered in Guam."
The hotel and resort company is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
"We are looking forward to combining the best of local hospitality customs with our signature warm Thai service to offer guests an experience truly unlike any other on the island," added Chan.
Next month's soft opening of the Dusit International property will include about half of the resort's inventory, which consists of nearly 420 deluxe rooms and suites.
Built on the Tumon Bay, the Dusit Thani Guam features stellar views of the seas, among other notable amenities.
Once fully open and operational, the resort will boast half of a dozen Villa Suites along with Dusit's signature spa, the Devarana Spa. According to the resort's Facebook page, the Devarana Spa includes "10 well-appointed treatment rooms and suites, two separate Onsen areas, a Pilates and yoga room, and a spa boutique."
The luxury resort will also feature Guam's only hydrothermal therapy treatment area.
There'll be four different dining venues for guests to choose from at the resort as well, with Thai, Italian, International and BBQ and Grill styles of food being made available.
