Enchantment Group Announces Purchase of The Cove Resort in Bahamas
The Enchantment Group is one of the premier hospitality management firms in the world, and the company announced on Tuesday that the industry leader had purchased a luxury beachfront resort called ‘The Cove’ on Eleuthera island in the Bahamas.
According to the Enchantment Group, the purchase marks the company’s entry into the Bahamian market, but the island is still very close to the Southern tip of Florida, just a 45-minute trip for travelers.
Not only has the Enchantment Group purchased the beautiful island resort, but it will also be in charge of managing the 40-acre property. Positioned on the northern tip of Eleuthera, the resort is found on a secluded portion of the island and features two pink sand beaches, seaside villas, cottages and suites, a hilltop infinity pool, open-air sunset bar, gourmet restaurant and sushi bar and activities such as snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking.
The Enchantment Group is also considering building a spa and additional waterfront suites.
Enchantment Group vice president, Marcos Casillas, released a statement regarding the company’s purchase of the property and how it fits the business model:
“Eleuthera offers the appeal of a somewhat under-the-radar island with a magnificent shoreline, peaceful beaches, and crystal-clear water. The Cove captures the essence of an idyllic island getaway in a place of stunning natural beauty. It is a great fit for our company's growth and investment strategy.”
The 55-room hotel sat abandoned for two years before previous owner Sidney D. Torres revamped the property, and now it has won awards and been named one of the world’s top 100 hotels by Fodor.
The addition of The Cove is a major coup for the company. The Enchantment Group also owns the Mii amo Spa and Seven Canyons Golf Club in Sedona Arizona, and Tides Inn located near Virginia's Chesapeake Bay.
