An impactful portion of Frank Sinatra's legendary career played out at the renowned Fontainebleau Miami Beach, and in recognition, the hotel resort has announced plans for a 100-day countdown to the late singer and actor's 100th birthday later this year.
Mary Forgione of the Los Angeles Times reports the countdown will begin Sept. 2, and continue through the 100th anniversary of Sinatra's birth on Dec. 12.
The countdown will appropriately feature a nightly toast of Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select Whiskey at the Bleau Bar but will be highlighted by a unique offering, the "Live Like Frank" stay.
The package, which is priced at $1,915 to pay homage to the year Sinatra was born, includes a junior suite or higher room, a pair of 50-minute massages, a $250 credit for dinner at any of the Fontainebleau's four restaurants, complimentary daily breakfast, an "Ultimate Sinatra" CD and a bottle of Sinatra's signature whiskey.
The hotel also has a photography show planned. The display, which the Sinatra family will help compile, will feature rare personal and historic photos of Sinatra.
The countdown is set to conclude in December with a climactic performance at the Fontainebleau honoring the American legend.
Sinatra frequented the Fontainebleau Miami Beach during his heyday, performing at the hotel's old nightclub and filming several movies on site when he wasn't there on vacation.
