Palace Resorts — the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations — is pleased to announce the latest additions to the brand’s 2017 entertainment lineup at sister properties, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande and Moon Palace Cancun.
Legendary rock band Survivor will delight guests at Palace Resorts’ newest property, AAA Four Diamond Moon Palace Jamaica Grande, on Feb. 25, 2017. The following month, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Cheap Trick, will perform at the brand’s signature property. AAA Four Diamond Moon Palace Cancun, March 17 and 18, 2017.
Survivor has been thrilling fans with their signature arena rock style since Sylvester Stallone tapped the band to provide the theme song for “Rocky III” in 1982, “Eye of The Tiger.” The Grammy and People’s Choice-winning hit spent seven weeks as the number-one song on the charts and was number 18 on Billboard’s 100th Anniversary “Top 100 Singles” list.
Since launching their career, the band has had multiple top-20 singles including “Burning Heart,” “I Can’t Hold Back,” “High on You” and “The Search is Over.” Now, Survivor is embarking on their next chapter with new lead vocalist Cameron Barton.
As an added incentive for value-conscious travelers heading to Jamaica, Palace Resorts is pleased to offer guests who book a stay of five nights or more two complimentary tickets in the Gold section to the concert as part of the all-inclusive concept. The band will perform Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande with additional tickets ranging from $45-$100 in the Gold to the VIP section.
For nearly five decades Cheap Trick has been an institution in American music and captivated audiences around the world. The energetic and iconic band is responsible for hits like “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” “Dream Police” and worldwide number-one hit single, “The Flame.” The band released their 17th studio album, “Bang, Zoom, Crazy… Hello,” earlier this year.
Cheap Trick, the band — beloved for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential, powerhouse pop rock ‘n’ roll — will take the stage on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Moon Palace Cancun’s Moon Palace Arena. Tickets to the dinner show range from $139-$289 from the Gold to the VIP section.
“After receiving tremendous feedback for hosting an eclectic array of talent including Shaggy, Omi and MAGIC! at our newest property, we’re eager to continue bringing diverse and universally acclaimed entertainment to Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in 2017. Kicking off the year with Survivor represents an opportunity for us to continue Moon Palace Jamaica Grande’s momentum and uphold the standards associated with the Moon Palace brand. “By adding Survivor and Cheap Trick to our 2017 lineup, Palace Resorts continues to set the standard in unmatched vacation experiences that includes unparalleled service and amenities complemented by world-class entertainment, he added.”
Survivor will take the stage at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande’s Grand ballroom, featuring a top-shelf open bar. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the performance will begin at 9 p.m. Guests who purchase tickets for the exclusive VIP section will have access to a lounge area, snacks and private bar.
The Cheap Trick dinner shows will take place at Moon Palace Arena, a 140,000 square foot convention center that has hosted countless crowd-pleasing events ranging from Grammy award-winning rock bands to various festivals. The band behind such hits as “Zombie” and “Linger” will take the Moon Palace Arena stage Feb. 10-12, 2017.
Guests who attend Cheap Trick’s performances will have the opportunity to stay at The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun, the latest addition to Moon Palace Cancun.
