The Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills Resort and Spa sits nestled between the Colinas de la Bahia de Banderas hills and the famed Sierra Madres, offering guests of this upscale, all-inclusive resort unparalleled views and tranquility.
And, beginning Dec. 20, 2016, that tranquility will only deepen when 117 of Sirenis’ Tropical View Junior Suites become an exclusive adults-only section.
The adults-only Tropical View Junior Suites (77 suites feature kings size beds and a sofa bed; 40 rooms offer two double beds) have been designed to blend harmoniously with the resort’s natural surroundings. Each room is outfitted with a 32-inch flat screen TV, terrace and free WiFi access among other amenities, and 24-hour concierge service is available throughout a guest’s stay.
Thanks to its unique location, guests don’t need to choose between the mountains or the sea. Located just 1.2 miles from the nautical port of the Riviera Nayarit, and with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, guests of the resort can easily spend a day at the beach, thanks to a shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes. Located just 10 minutes from the main resort, the Eva Mandarina Beach Club provides the perfect base camp for a luxurious day at the sea and offers all-inclusive drinks and a la carte snacks from ceviche to fish aguachiles and tacos. Those who prefer the fresh mountain air can take advantage of the resort’s private nature reserve, with numerous trails meant for exploration either on foot or by bike.

On-property, guests have a range of activities and amenities to enjoy. A large infinity pool that looks to the ocean is the focal point, while a whirlpool hot tub is the perfect place to unwind after a long hike. Fitness buffs will want to take advantage of the gym and wellness center, featuring free weights and weight and cardio equipment. Non-motorized water sports are also available for a fee and include canoeing, windsurfing and snorkeling.
The Makawe Spa is the place to relax and unwind. Between a steam bath, plunge pool and six outdoor private treatment rooms, guests will be hard-pressed to leave. The spa offers a mix of traditional treatments such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy and manicures and pedicures. However, the spa is known for its blend of exotic and ancestral rituals designed to purify the mind and body. Try a soothing Mecere treatment, which features a calming milk bath followed by a vanilla oil massage, or any of the resort’s four wellness paths, including the Hakute bamboo mud massage.
Come mealtime, guests can choose from a buffet restaurant (Raixes), as well as La Gira Rodizio grill and the adults-only Ikebana Japanese restaurant. And for light meals or a quick bite, guests can swing by the El Mirador snack bar and La Parota health bar.
