For travelers who love Elvis Presley and enjoy visiting his former home in Tennessee, there will be a new hotel opening in October called The Guest House at Graceland.
According to The Associated Press, The Guest House at Graceland hotel will be six stories tall and feature 450 rooms, and it will be just steps away from Presley’s former home. Rates for the new hotel will range from $149 per night for basic rooms to $1,300 per night for the most expensive suite.
The Guest House at Graceland is expected to open to the public on Oct. 27.
“This luxury hotel is the most significant enhancement to Graceland since we opened in 1982. This is huge...I feel that it's just so right for fans, and our guests, and tourists,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement. “It really is quite beautiful, and it is subtle, and it is contemporary, and it's classy. I think our guests will be very happy.”
In total, the hotel will cost around $92 million to build, and construction is still underway. The facility will feature amenities including a swimming pool, a 464-seat theater, a large ballroom and four meeting rooms, all of which can be used for musical performances or company conferences.
As for the exterior of The Guest House at Graceland, it will be adorned in traditional Southern Colonial home styles, including columns, arches and a portico reminiscent of the main Graceland house.
“If you ever thought that you wanted to hang out with Elvis and feel like one of his guests, this is your opportunity,” Elvis Presley Enterprises managing partner Joel Weinshanker said in a statement.
