On Thursday, Hard Rock International announced that it will build its first facility in Costa Rica, dubbed the Hard Rock Hotel Papagayo.
The all-inclusive Costa Rican Hard Rock resort is set to open by early 2018 and will include a partnership with tour operator Sunwing Travel Group that will help with future growth within the region. The partnership also opens the door for potential further collaborations in both the Caribbean and Latin America.
The Hard Rock Hotel Papagayo will be a 294-room resort located 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport and will feature secluded landscapes, natural wonders, eco-adventure excursions and impressive biodiversity. The resort will be managed by Blue Diamond Resorts, which has a decorated history throughout the Caribbean.
"Costa Rica has seen a steady rise in international arrivals and the country's worldwide appeal aligns with our development strategy deeply rooted in expanding into desirable locations," Hard Rock International head of hotel development Marco Roca said in a statement. "We look forward to electrifying the destination with a musically-charged differentiated product never before seen in the area."
As for some of the amenities, guests should expect from the Hard Rock Hotel Papagayo, there will be a full-service Rock Spa, free in-room Fender guitar checkouts and other exclusive options. For those who upgrade to the Rock Royalty Level, they will be eligible to receive preferred room locations, personal assistants, upgraded bath amenities and one-of-a-kind music perks.
The resort will also cater to families with the Hard Rock's two signature hangouts exclusively for younger rockers, Teen Spirit and Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club. In addition, there will be ample dining options, including an all-day buffet restaurant, a North American steak house, an Asian restaurant, an Italian trattoria and an internationally inspired eatery.
