W Hotels Worldwide has unveiled a new suite concept for musicians and music lovers of all shapes and sizes.
The Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide brand unveiled the first W Sound Suite at the W Bali – Seminyak Thursday. Inside, guests — whether world renowned artists or vacationers with no background in music — will be able to produce high-quality sounds without having to leave their room.
Designed for traveling musicians and producers, the suite includes a private music studio, writer's room and a private vocal booth that overlooks the hotel's tropical garden.
Perhaps the coolest part is the suite can be booked by any hotel guest, regardless of their musical prowess.
Guests who book the W Sound Suite will even receive a private master class led by W Bali’s Music Curator Damian Saint.
The brand, which teamed with global partner Coca-Cola on the project, credits its North American Music Director DJ White Shadow for developing the unique concept.
"The W Sound Suite is today’s tech-savvy version of scribbling lyrics on a cocktail napkin," said W Hotels global brand leader Anthony Ingham in a statement. "Bali, a vibrant and creative hub often called ‘the alternative Ibiza’, is the perfect setting for our first music studio."
Coca-Cola Music on Twitter provided a look inside the one-of-a-kind suite:
Although the project debuted in Bali, additional W Sound Suites will be rolling out at W Hotels properties in Hollywood, Seattle and Barcelona later this year.
In the meantime, W Hotels is celebrating the launch of the new W Sound Suite with a new content series titled "Sounding Off With..." The podcast-style conversations will aim to provide a glimpse into the life of a traveling artist.
Meanwhile, W Bali also plans to have musicians from around the globe visit and produce exclusive music. The hotel will also introduce a brand new food and drink menu inspired by celebrity musicians.
