IHG Unveils Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa

Good news for U.S. travelers who long for a time-proven familiar face and name when traveling to Mexico: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has enhanced the Ixtapa- Zihuatanejo all-inclusive scene by debuting the Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa. This recently renovated and rebranded 431-room hotel joins sister properties in Acapulco and Los Cabos as the third Holiday Inn Resort in Mexico.

Fronting El Palmar Beach 20 minutes from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH), the new property has been spruced up with broad-based amenities and services appealing to couples, families and groups. All ocean view accommodations are furnished with satellite TV, work desk with lamp, coffeemaker, complimentary standard Internet service and individually controlled air conditioning.

Sleeping four, suites boost the elbowroom with king sized or double beds, living area with sofa bed and two full bathrooms. Select suites are decked out with terraces looking out to the Pacific.

As the hotel’s only air-conditioned venue, Frutas & Flores adds to breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. La Terraza kicks up the atmosphere to a “dressier” level with high end a la carte dining. Cana Brava snack area and 24-hour room service round out the culinary roster.
