The upcoming World Irish Dance Championships are causing unexpected problems for the Premier Inn in Belfast. The competitors, many of whom are staying at the inn, are practicing their dancing. A lot. Even in the elevators.
But the dance moves are wreaking havoc with the elevator mechanics.
So much so, that management posted a lighthearted note in the elevator, asking patrons to refrain from dancing in the lift.
For all our Irish Dancing Champions.
We at the Premier Inn understand how you need to practice constantly to perfect your skills.
However, if you dance in the lifts they will stop moving and you will be stuck in here until we can get an engineer to come and rescue you.
P.S best of luck at the Waterfront.”
The note was spotted by guest Lianne Reddy, who posted a picture on Twitter.
“An actual sign in the lift in our hotel. I can't breathe with the laughter,” read the tweet.
Reddy has since protected her tweets, but not before the post went quickly viral, catching the attention of media and social media users throughout the United Kingdom.
