JDB Fine Hotels & Resorts, an unsurpassed collection of luxury, boutique properties spanning the cities, coasts and countryside of Europe, reports strong sales for the summer season and has announced the addition of 14 member hotels, including three brand new properties in Italy debuting to guests this month. The expanded collection, which now includes 70 boutique properties in Italy and France and represents a 25 percent increase, is timed with the most recent American Express Spending & Saving Tracker, which reports that 60 percent of consumers traveling this summer are seeking alternative accommodations beyond traditional hotels and resorts.

“Our continued expansion demonstrates JDB’s commitment to travel agents, developing opportunities to satisfy trends we know are relevant in the marketplace and the resources necessary for agents to deliver and exceed client expectations,” says Brian Froelich, chairman of JDB Fine Hotels & Resorts.

According to Froelich, the additions to the collection – which span from Milan to Rome to Sicily and beyond – are scrupulously researched and reviewed to confirm they meet JDB’s standards. “This ensures that guests will be ‘welcomed’ in member hotels as VIPs, so that agents may book with confidence.”

New hotels will offer exclusive amenities – from room upgrades and spa treatments to dining experiences and luxury airport transfers – customary with stays at all JDB Fine Hotel & Resorts’ properties.  Among the recent additions, include:

• Palazzo Scanderbeg – With the original structure dating to from the 15th century, Palazzo Scanderbeg recently unveiled a full restoration on June 15, 2016 with a total of 11 rooms.  Situated in the heart of the Rome, Palazzo Scanderbeg has now been transformed into a luxury Townhouse, featuring double rooms with private concierge, as well as The Palazzo Scanderbeg Suites, offering larger accommodations, exposed beams, original architectural details and views over Piazza Scanderbeg.

• Punta Tragara – A historic five-star property perched high above the sea in Capri, Punta Tragara is a luxury resort featuring 44 rooms and suites, two restaurants, Monzu and Mamma, offering the world-renowned traditions of Naples, a wellness spa and concierge service.  A pinnacle of hospitality on Capri the villa was home to the American command during the Second World War and has received eminent guests including General Dwight D. Eisenhower, General Mark Clark and Sir Winston Churchill.

• Palazzo della Fonte - Nestled in the quietness of a private park, the Grand Hotel Palazzo della Fonte is an enchanted country manor stunningly unique in style and ambience. The Palazzo exudes a sense of wellness among its unspoiled surroundings of central Italy, including the thermal town of Fiuggi, where its world-renowned water springs are thought to alleviate illness and restore the body. The five-star resort features 153 rooms and suites and a world-class wellness center.

Additional hotels added in the most recent expansion include: Hotel delgi Artisti, Rome; Masseria dellla Volpe, Noto, Sicily; Duomo Luxury Suites, Catania, Sicily; Baglio di Pianetto, Santa Cristina Gela, Sicily; Antichi Ricordi, Caltaniesetta, Sicily; Abbazia Santa Anastasia, Castelbuono, Sicily; Una Maison Milano, Milan; Una Hotel Venezia, Venice; Una Hotel Versilia, Tuscany; Villa Le Maschere, Tuscany; and Argentario Golf Resort & Spa, Tuscany.
