Kaanapali Beach Hotel and its sister property, The Plantation Inn, received top honors in Hawaii Magazine's 2016 Readers' Choice Awards.
Readers of Hawaii Magazine voted Kaanapali Beach Hotel the "Number One Hotel with the Best Aloha Spirit" for the third year in a row, and the "Number One Best Budget Hotel" for the fourth year in a row. In addition, Kaanapali Beach Hotel's award- winning Sunday Champagne Brunch ranked number two on the list for "Best Breakfast or Brunch Buffet."
The Plantation Inn, located in the historic district of Lahaina, was voted "Number Three Best Bed & Breakfast or Inn."

The Hawaii Magazine Readers' Choice Awards are a result of an extensive reader survey conducted by the magazine. Thousands of mainland U.S., Hawaii and international readers participated in the 98-category survey, rating everything from the best Hawaiian hotels and resorts, bed-and-breakfasts and inns, beaches and activities, to the best places to eat, scenic road trips, fashion designers and coastlines in Hawaii. Hawaii Magazine tallied the picks of more than 100,000 surveys to arrive at the final award-winner list, in which Kaanapali Beach Hotel and The Plantation Inn were awarded the following rankings:
Kaanapali Beach Hotel:
* No. 1 Hotel or Resort with the Best Aloha Spirit
* No. 1 Best Budget Hotel
* No. 1 Best Hotel or Resort Staff
* No. 2 Best Breakfast or Brunch Buffet
The Plantation Inn:
* No. 3 Best Bed & Breakfast or Inn
* Kaanapali Beach was awarded No. 1 Best Beach for Hanging Around.
* Lahaina was awarded No. 1 Best City or Town.
* Maui was awarded No. 1 Best Island.
