Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) on Friday opened the 208-room Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort Punta Cana. The family-friendly resort is now accepting reservations.
Karisma and VIMN launched the resort with an official ribbon cutting attended by the Dominican Republic's president, Danilo Medina. Located on Uvero Alto beach, the property is the Nickelodeon's first hotel outside of the United States and features familiar Nickelodeon characters.
The all-inclusive property features a contemporary design and is designed to accommodate Nickelodeon fans, families and travelers who frequent luxury resorts. The property features several gourmet dining options, serves premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and also offers 24-hour room service and concierge services.

"A property that pairs this level of luxury, with awesome surprise elements at every turn, is the first of its kind," said Armando Chomat, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Karisma Hotels & Resorts. "We invite guests of all ages to let their imaginations run wild and embark on new adventures starting this spring at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana."
Resort accommodations include seven categories ranging from intimate Pad Suites and Flats to swim-up suites featuring plunge pools. The accommodations are highlighted by four two- and three-bedroom "Super Villas" that measure 2,200 square feet and include a "Pineapple Villa" inspired by Nickelodeon cartoon favorite SpongeBob SquarePants' own undersea home.
Suite amenities include free-standing bathtubs, private patios and wrap-around terraces and balconies. Guest amenities including complimentary baby food, strollers, cribs, kids' spa robes and baby bottle warmers for infants and toddlers are also available.
Other resort features include Aqua Nick, a water park featuring slides, splash pads, spray grounds and a lazy river. Plaza Orange features entertainment and events including family-friendly movie premieres.

At Character Central guests can meet their favorite Nickelodeon characters throughout the day, and Just Kiddin' is a kids-only clubhouse and artist's studio offering including daily supervised activities and programs for children 4 to 12 years old, plus meet-and-greets with Nickelodeon characters. A dedicated Sports & Entertainment Center lets guests work up a sweat.
Dining options range from kid friendly to elegant and include 10 restaurants, two "gourmet corners" for light snacks and specialty cuisine, four bars and lounges, and the Doppio Coffee Shop.
