Late Summer Caribbean Resort Packages Highlight Fun And Adventure

Summer may be ending, but a variety of Caribbean hoteliers and destinations are just launching new travel packages featuring new facilities, amenities and services along with discounted rates.
The packages are available into early 2017 and offer Caribbean lovers multiple opportunities to enjoy the region’s spectacular beaches and natural environments along with premium hotels and resorts, available at significantly reduced rates.
A New Villa Vacation
Anguilla’s Frangipani Beach Resort has added a new four-bedroom, four and one-half bath beachfront villa to its accommodations. Located on white sands overlooking Mead’s Bay Beach, the villa offers a 5,000 square-foot sanctuary for families and small groups.
The villa features two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs; en-suite baths with bathtubs and indoor and outdoor showers. A living room, kitchen, indoor dining area are and washer and dryer are located on the villa’s lower level.
A fully equipped kitchen features two ovens, two dishwashers and a stove top; guest can opt for a private chef for an evening dinner or an entire week of meals. The upstairs living and entertainment room includes a shuffleboard table and large screen TV and features sweeping views of Meads Bay Beach.
Travelers who book the villa will have access to resort amenities and services including a personal concierge, continental breakfast at the Straw Hat restaurant, complimentary water sports and use of the resort’s fitness center and tennis courts. Guests will also have access to exclusive boat trips and charters.
Low season villa rates through December 17 are set at $3,500 per night; from Dec. 17 through Jan. 3, 2017 rates are $6,000 per night; from Jan. 3 through April 15 rates are $4,500 per night.
End of Summer Savings
The Saint Lucia Tourist Board is doing its part to extend the summer season with an “Endless Summer in Saint Lucia” island-wide promotion featuring value-added packages highlighted by savings of up to 65 percent off standard rates at top island hotels and resorts.
Hotel packages include one free night for travelers who book a four-night stay and two free nights for guests who book seven-night stays at the Anse Chastanet resort. Package rates start at $375 per couple, per night in standard accommodations; breakfast and dinner can be added for $180 per couple, per day and a meals and drinks package can be added for $340 per couple, per day.
The Stonefield Estate Resort’s “Escape Package” features a three-night stay in a one-bedroom villa for $375 per night, per couple. The package includes a complimentary Volcano Rejuvenation mud bath, a 30-minute massage for two, daily continental breakfast and detox green shakes. A minimum three-night stay is required.
Also, the Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa – Vieux Fort is offering “Endless Summer Fall Savings” featuring all-inclusive rates starting at $156 per person, per night, double occupancy, representing 55 percent off standard rates. The Mango Beach Inn on Marigot Bay is featuring “Fall Breaks at Summer Prices” with stays at $135 per night, for a 25 percent off standard rates, including bed and breakfast for two and free ferry passes.
Packages are also available from the Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa – Rodney Bay, the Castles in Paradise – Marisule, Coco Palm – Rodney Bay Village, Jade Mountain, Marigot Bay Beach Club, St. James’s Club Morgan Bay, The Landings, The Villa Beach Cottages and the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort. The hotel promotions run concurrent with Saint Lucia’s “Dine Around” program, which offers three-course meals starting at $55 at 16 island restaurants.
Two intimate Caribbean properties are offering special packages for adventurers and families. The Bahamas’ Deep Water Cay is inviting guests who book the resort’s Adventure Package for four nights one free night, plus a full day of guided activities and free meals.
Deep Water Cay’s off-season rates start at $3,282 per person, double occupancy for four nights, representing a 20 percent savings off standard rates. Activities are highlighted by three days with a private guide and boat and one day of complimentary flats fishing, reef fishing, drift snorkeling, scuba diving or a beach excursion.
Deep Water Cay is accessible via direct commercial flights to Freeport from Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Palm Beach and Miami. Upon arrival in Freeport, guests take a shuttle to the eastern end of Grand Bahama Island, followed by a five-minute cruise to Deep Water Cay aboard the resort’s private water taxi. Guests can also fly directly to Deep Water Cay’s 4,000-foot airstrip by private or charter flights.
Another boutique property, Villa Aquamare on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, is offering a fall “Family & Friends” package featuring accommodations in an 8,000 square foot five-bedroom villa for seven nights, starting at $2,550 per villa, per night.
The rate represents a savings of $2,205 per week over regular rates; the package includes a complimentary half-day sailing trip. Each villa features living and dining room areas, gourmet kitchens, terraces and a private infinity pool. Packages include use of a Beach Park, kayaks and snorkeling equipment. Rates start at starts at $17,850 for seven nights for a maximum occupancy of 12 guests per villa.
