The Ritz-Carlton is being taken to task with allegations of racism.
Those claims came thanks to a single tweet from "Saturday Night Live's" Leslie Jones who was in Los Angeles as part of her hosting duties for Sunday night's BET Awards.

The 49-year-old star of the iconic comedy show, as well as the most recent incarnation of "Ghostbusters," tweeted out a social media post that stated:
"Wow was such a great night at the BET awards. But then had THE WORST STAY (@ Ritz-Carlton) DO NOT STAY THERE!! THEY DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE!!" (Emphasis is that of Ms. Jones.)
That is all that remains of an untold interaction between Jones and, perhaps, a person or party employed by the Los Angeles luxury hotel.
The problem at this point, echoed by The Wrap and Los Angeles Times, is that neither Jones nor the Ritz-Carlton are offering any closure as to what transpired to cause the tweeted allegation of racism.
The L.A. Times did get a statement from the Ritz-Carlton that did little to offer any clue as to the event in question:
"Diversity and inclusion are part of the fabric of The Ritz-Carlton's culture and operations. We remain committed to providing an environment where all feel welcome. While we do not comment publicly about individual guests, we take every guest concern seriously and work quickly to resolve issues."
The brand did respond to Jones directly via Twitter, but there is no mention as to whether the request for a direct message was granted.
It reads:
The Wrap reminds that Jones has been the subject of racism in the past, most notably in the wake of the announcement she was cast in Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters."
While she has since returned to Twitter, she had previously signed off with the following, last July: "I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the (expletive) I got today ... wrong."
Responses to the initial post alleging racism has, as of this writing, garnered over 520 comments and 340 retweets.

The comments range from empathy to vitriolic demands for an explanation. There are even those who state they have experienced the same with other brands.
So far, we are left to merely speculate, but we will update if we get any word.
