Marquis Los Cabos Reopens Following Post-Odile Renovations

Marquis Los Cabos, the resort formerly known as Secrets Marquis Los Cabos, is back in business following a $10 million renovation in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile.

The property, which previously had been marketed and sold under AMResorts’ Secrets brand, is now a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and managed by Hoteles Marquis.

The renovation included a facelift to the resort’s 235 guestrooms and suites, which were enhanced with new beds, linens, minibars, L’Occitane bath products, hydro-massage tubs and furnished outdoor terraces.

The property’s dining areas were also upgraded and a seaside gazebo was added for weddings and other ceremonies.

Thierry Dufour will continue to oversee the resort’s food and beverage operation as executive chef.  Throughout each day, staff will now provide guests relaxing in pool areas with tray service snacks, including churros, pastries and corn on the cob.

“We are committed to providing a memorable first-class experience here at Marquis Los Cabos and are pleased to re-introduce the enhanced property to our guests, both new and returning,” said Alma Lopez, corporate director of sales for the Marquis Los Cabos.

The resort, which now boasts a new white-washed façade, offers five categories of accommodations, including 203 deluxe suites, 26 one-bedroom casitas, five master suites and a two-bedroom presidential suite.

The property features four specialty restaurants; three pools; a 15,000-foot spa, which now features new treatment with Natura Bissé skincare products; a fitness center; and an open-air lobby whose centerpiece is a 40-foot waterfall.

Marquis Los Cabos is situated at the tip of the Baja peninsula approximately 15 minutes from San Jose del Cabo and 30 minutes from Cabo San Lucas.
