Beaches Resorts is continuing to keep the brand at the forefront of audiences who are booking family vacations with its second annual Social Media on the Sand conference, an invitation-only social media conference, which was held Oct. 21-25, 2015 at Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa.
During this conference, 125 elite mom bloggers and influencers sharpened their social media skills through inspiring and empowering information sessions, all while sharing their unforgettable experiences with their families at Beaches. Putting their enhanced skills to use, attendees racked up 241.8 million social impressions throughout the conference, with Beaches Resorts garnering an 8.8 percent increase in social media followers.
“Our Social Media on the Sand conference is about improving the connection between bloggers and their audiences, and we were thrilled to be able to provide them with a team of experts to do just that,” says Adam Stewart, CEO of Beaches Resorts. “These bloggers have a unique relationship with the families who rely upon their content and we recognize and value their contribution to helping our brand grow.”
Information sessions were conducted by a diverse group of speakers including Dillon Kalkurst, director community engagement & strategic volunteer partnerships for Scholastic; Amy Mascott, creator of teachmama.com; Alison McDonald, founder & editor of No Time for Flash Cards.com; Dan Lewis, director of social media for Sesame Street; and Jennifer Labit, CEO of Cotton Babies with topics ranging from how to build buzz, social media best practices, tips for a successful rebrand, how to get into the world of video and more.
Bloggers and their families also enjoyed an exclusive Sunset, Sip & Social Welcome Cocktail Party; a #ThrowbackThursday '80s party; a Beach Party Dinner at Treasure Beach, a #BeachTeens bonfire meetup; a Trick-or-Tweet Costume Farewell Party; and much more. Attendees also took part in a #BeachesGoSeek Instagram scavenger hunt for the chance to win a family vacation to Beaches Resorts.
The conference included a four-night/five-day Luxury Included stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos and, thanks to the generous support of event sponsors, attendees enjoyed exclusive goodies from HP, Lands’ End, The Grand Bevy, Playskool, Del Sol, Daily’s Cocktails, BudStraps, LeapFrog, Powder Pouch, Good Natured Selects, Scholastic, Entenmann’s, The Mommy Hook, Downy, Boogie Wipes, Dreft, Project MC2, Stopain Migraine, Strand Bands, and Evalar.
