Ojai Valley Inn Offers Golf, Tennis Academies

The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai, Calif. (70 miles from Los Angeles) is offering golf and tennis academies. Through Dec. 20, the resort is offering 13 golf academy programs for beginning and moderate-skill golfers. Coaches include Jeff Johnson, the resort’s PGA director of instruction; Lee Huntley, LPGA coach; and sports psychologist Dr. Joseph Parent.
Ojai's regular, women's and junior golf academies are available with a two-night room package. Included in the program are Video Golf Swing Analysis and Fundamentals, Short Game Instruction, On-course Instruction, and Putting, Mental Game Techniques, as well as a welcome breakfast and two lunches. Pricing starts at $1,275 per single guest and $2,250 for two guests, plus tax.
The resort will offer three Scanlon Advantage Tennis Academy programs this summer, each overseen by tennis expert Bill Scanlon; Tom Rohrbacher, the resort’s tennis director; and Dr. Parent. The academy includes a two-night stay, plus three days of tennis instruction and mental training, two lunches and dinner at Maravilla. Each Tennis Academy package includes day passes to Spa Ojai and one 50-minute spa treatment. Each participant receives an autographed copy of Scanlon's book, "Bad News for McEnroe," and a clinic T-shirt and cap. Pricing starts at $1,300 per single guest and $2,160 per two guests, plus tax.
