If you have been noticing a log of pink around lately, you might be realizing that it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Every October, organizations rally around this noble cause, donning pink in honor of women’s fight against this pervasive disease. And now there is a new way in which you can help fight the battle. Montage Kapalua Bay is inviting guests to Play for P.I.N.K. and play golf and tennis at the first-ever weekend tournament to benefit breast cancer awareness held at the Kapalua Resort.
The resort has designed a special schedule for the Play for P.I.N.K. event that begins with Pau for Pink at its Cane & Canoe restaurant on Oct. 8. The reception is sponsored by Pau Vodka and guests are invited to enjoy pups and crafted cocktails from guest bartenders. The event is $25 per person and takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 9, guests are invited to the Welcome Putting Party at Napili Kai Beach Resort. Times and prices vary.
The tournament takes place Oct. 10-11 at Kapalua Golf and Kapalua Tennis Garden. In addition, the Montage is offering a couple of additional activities in honor of the event including a Pop-Up Jewelry Shop at the Mahana Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be complimentary sunset yoga at the Point Lawn on Sunday Oct. 11. There are also a variety of spa specials to take advantage of during your weekend at both the Spa Montage Kapalua Bay and the Ritz-Carlton Spa, Kapalua.
The star-studded Evening Soiree will take place on Oct. 11 at the Beach Club at Montage Kapalua Bay from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Guests include winemaker, tech entrepreneur and former star of ABC’s “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” Ben Flajnik as well as Malibu, Calif., real-estate mogul and “Million Dollar Listing” star Madison Hildebrand and Stefani Michaels, a breast cancer survivor and creator of AdventureGirl.com. The event is $250 per person.
A portion of the proceeds from these event will benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). And be sure to use the services of Elite Travel International to book rooms. The Montage Kapalua Bay as well as the Napili Kai Beach Resort and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua will donate 20 percent of every room night booked through Elite Travel to BCRF.
