Puerto Rico has emerged in recent years as one of the Caribbean’s favorite destinations for upscale, sophisticated travelers, in part due to its attractive array of premium hotels and resorts. Several of these properties are offering fall deals that provide travelers outstanding values in addition to the deluxe surroundings.
For example, Puerto Rico’s Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa has introduced an option allowing travelers to select between nightly rate payments or the resort’s new all-inclusive package for stays of four nights or more.
The new optional all-inclusive packages include a la carte dining, unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, one complimentary round of golf on the resort’s ocean or river golf courses, plus free Wi-Fi in the resort’s public areas. Packages start at $349 for single occupancy or $429 per room, per night double occupancy ($215 per person per night).
The El Conquistador Resort & Las Casitas Village, Waldorf Astoria Resorts in Puerto Rico’s Fajardo district is offering “Summer Splash” packages highlighted by four passes to Coqui Water Park, the resort’s state-of-the-art seaside aquatic playground.
Guests who purchase the package also receive a $50 resort credit per night that can be used for amenities including rounds of golf on the resort’s Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole golf course, spa treatments at the Waldorf Astoria Spa, or watersports on Palomino Island, the resort’s 100-acre private island.
Summer Splash packages are available through December 17 at nightly rates starting from $229 at the El Conquistador Resort and at $299 at sister property Las Casitas Village. The rates are based on minimum stays of two nights.
In Puerto Rico’s historic capital of San Juan, the vintage upscale property hotel Condado Plaza Hilton is offering $50 nightly resort credits as part of its “Leisure Escapes” packages. The credits can be used toward a romantic dinner at Pikayo, the on-site flagship restaurant of acclaimed Puerto Rican chef Wilo Benet, paddleboarding on the tranquil Condado Lagoon; or snorkeling at the resort’s indigenous-themed reef, among other activities.
The only hotel to overlook the Condado Lagoon as well as the Atlantic Ocean, the Condado Plaza Hilton is located in the heart of San Juan’s popular Condado entertainment district and minutes from Old San Juan.
