Slideshow: Boca’s Beautiful Waterstone Resort & Marina
Last year, Boca Raton welcomed a new player to its hotel scene, the Waterstone Resort & Marina, which is distinguishing itself with its enviable waterfront location.
For starters, every guestroom at the Florida resort is equipped with a private balcony with panoramic waterfront views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway or Lake Boca. “Waterstone also offers guests unparalleled access to Boca’s various waterways with many watersport activities launching right from Waterstone’s dock,” said Jennifer Graham, director of sales and marketing.
The property, which is a Doubletree by Hilton, formerly operated as the Boca Bridge Hotel, and reopened after a $10 million renovation that included a significant lobby expansion, the addition of custom-made furnishings, a curated art collection and restaurants that capitalize on locally sourced ingredients.
Set on the resort’s waterfront promenade, the Waterstone Bar & Grill offers Boca Raton’s only dock-to-dine experience on the Intracoastal Waterway, said Graham, adding that boaters can anchor along a 280-foot seawall and dine either on deck or land. “When they call ahead, yachters may choose to have food delivered to their vessels.”
While the Waterstone Bar & Grill specializes in fresh seafood dishes, Boca Landing features cuisine with French and Italian influences. It boasts indoor and outdoor seating with views of Lake Boca.
Graham noted that the resort is appealing to a wide range of clientele, including families, business travelers and couples looking for romantic vacations. She added that it the property is also attracting its fair share of destination weddings groups and guy and girlfriend getaway groups.
The majority of the resort’s business is generated by travelers from Florida, the southern and Northeastern states, and Canada, she said.
The property features 139 guestrooms, including 10 executive suites and one presidential suite.
