Small Luxury Hotels Reports Record-Setting Room Nights, Revenue
Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) said 2012 was the best year ever in its 21 years in business. With an increase of 10 percent year-to-year in room nights and 9 percent in terms of revenue, SLH delivered 341,000 room nights and generated $119 million in revenue for the year.
“It’s extraordinary that after over 20 years in the business we're still managing to exceed the work we’ve done the year before, especially when you consider the current economic climate," said SLH CEO Paul Kerr. “With more than 520 hotels in more than 70 countries and multiple means of booking, we give the customer the freedom to choose how, where, when and why.
The brand is also celebrating the addition of 63 new hotels in 2012, including 13 in the Americas, 17 in the Asia Pacific region and 33 in Europe/Middle East/Africa regions. Some of these new hotels are in key areas such as Hawaii, Israel, The Galapagos, Japan, China and Nicaragua.
