Soon, you may be able to stay in a beautiful hotel built on goodwill.
Nestled warmly on Kickstarter is a campaign to create what is being called The Purpose Hotel, which is essentially a building where everything contained therein has a crucial purpose that will serve to better lives the world over.
The project is the brainchild of Jeremy Cowart who explains in the following video that he wanted a hotel that did more.
Obviously, he isn't talking about offering more luxurious amenities. His call is far simpler and far more valuable. Cowart desires a hotel that actually helps mankind with every art piece on the wall or every purchase for high-speed Wi-Fi service.
Here is a video that explains what may just be a beautiful new hotel in Nashville.
As you see from the video above, there are certain gestures that will highlight how powerful your stay has been, from pictures of in-need children adorning the entrance to your room to a receipt illustrating all the good that your stay has done.
As of this writing, the campaign has raised over $500,000. It's a handsome sum but tragically below its goal of $2,000,000. With just nine days to go, The Purpose Hotel will need far more charitable acts to get this project off the ground.

In this video, Cowart explains how one interesting room sign spiraled into a wonderful idea, one that views a hotel as something grander than somewhere you simply flop for a few nights during your holiday or business trip.
Every single piece of the hotel goes to something good, from Internet fees supporting the fight against human trafficking to a water fountain that "symbolizes the flow of hope and life."
It's an admirable thought and an idea that certainly has a place in travel. Hopefully, Cowart and his team can reach the goal and show us all how valuable a hotel stay can truly be.
