Three Maui Classics to Experience in Hawaii

When Classic Resorts debuted its first vacation condominium property on the Hawaiian Island of Maui, it did so with a simple strategy focused on Hawaii travelers. The company’s intent was to deliver the ultimate vacation experience by combining comforts of a private vacation home with amenities and services of a resort hotel in prime oceanfront or golf course locations.

According to Heidi Denecke, leisure sales manager, Classic’s three Maui properties – as well as two on the Island of Hawaii – operate with a promise of "No Resort Fee and No Hidden Fees.” In that direction, it refuses to ding guests with ambiguous charges it feels should be covered in nightly rates.

“Yet, guests at all Classic Resorts condos enjoy daily maid service, the safety net of front desk, maintenance, security and other benefits you find at hotels,” says Denecke. “That's also a point of difference compared to reserving through a private owner and ending up in a condo with no one to call when you need something.”

Denecke notes that Classic’s vacation condos also offer a level of privacy and flexibility missing from typical hotel accommodations while still offering hotel/resort amenities like swimming pools, concierge services and fitness facilities.

Full kitchens allow guests to save on dining out by prepping meals and snacks to eat whenever they’re actually hungry. On Maui, Demming’s Delivery Service allows guests to head straight to the beach rather than the local market. The homey design creates living areas and private sleeping spaces. And the washer/dryer or on-site laundry facilities mean packing lighter.

Classic’s Maui portfolio includes Kaanapali Alii and Puunoa Beach Estates in the company’s luxury collection, and Lahaina Shores Beach Resort with value accommodations.

Kaanapali Alii Grill Master Program

An Alii grill master arrives at the resort’s popular oceanfront gas barbecue grills at dinnertime and offers cooking tips plus a variety of rubs and spices on a complimentary basis for guests of Kaanapali Alii. Chef McNiel Magdoang shares his recipe for Grilled Corn Salsa that pairs especially well with a fresh catch of the day or chicken.

1 Whole Pineapple – Cored, outer peel cut off, cut in 1-inch thick rings

2 Jalapenos – Cut in half, inner seeds and white portion removed.

4 Ears Fresh Corn On The Cob – Husk and silk removed

1 Large Red Bell Pepper – Cut in half, seeds removed

2 Limes – Cut in half

Place red bell pepper halves and jalapeno halves on grill, turn after 3 minutes. Cook another 2 or 3 minutes.
