The excitement surrounding 2018's opening of the Aventura Hotel is climbing, and Universal Studios has officially started taking reservations for the 16-story resort.
According to the official blog of Universal Studios, officials have not announced an opening date, saying only that the hotel is scheduled to open this summer, though the first date customers are allowed to book is Aug. 1, 2018.
Aventura will be a 600-room hotel located near the Sapphire Falls resort, which opened in July 2016.
The resort will feature a curved glass design with floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop bar, early admission to Universal's theme parks, a massive swimming pool and more.
The rooftop bar of the Aventura will overlook the 200-foot volcano that will be the centerpiece of the Volcano Bay water park scheduled to open May 25.
Once open, the Aventura will be Universal's sixth on-property hotel.

The theme park company announced a deal Wednesday offering a $50 hotel dining credit for customers booking a four-night stay and a $100 dining credit for those booking a seven-night stay at the Aventura.
As for prices, room rates will start as low as $97 per night for a seven-night stay and $116 per night for a four-night stay.
The Aventura isn't the only hotel construction going on at Universal Studios, as there is a two-tower, 400-room addition to Cabana Bay Beach Resort underway. When the two construction projects are completed, the resort is scheduled to boast a total of 6,200 on-site rooms.
