Walt Disney World's 'Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar' to Open in Fall 2015
Walt Disney World Resort has unveiled new details surrounding the upcoming opening of Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
According to a post by Downtown Disney's marketing manager Darcy Clark on the Disney Parks Blog earlier this week, the new Indiana Jones-themed lounge is set to open this coming fall.
Named after Indiana Jones' snake-loving pilot Jock Lindsey, the bar and restaurant will feature seating for up to 150 people.
The lounge will be nestled in between Paradiso 37 and the recently-opened BOATHOUSE restaurant and will offer a unique blend of cocktails inspired by the beloved franchise, including the "Hovito Mojito."
Guests will also be able to select from an Indiana Jones-themed food menu, which includes items like "Air Pirates Everything Pretzels" and "Rolling Boulder Meatballs."
"In the main room, guests will discover an expansive bar, aviation decor filling the room, vintage travel posters covering the walls and correspondence between Jock, Indy and their fellow adventurers on display," writes Clark.
Propeller ceiling fans are among the many unique touches guests will notice.
The lounge will also feature an outside section, highlighted by Lindsey's permanently dry docked steamboat named "Reggie," which you can see in the below post by Downtown Disney's official Twitter account:
This week's announcement comes amid the company's ongoing process of transforming Downtown Disney into Disney Springs.
