One of the most polarizing politicians in the world is set to open what may just be the most lavish offering in Washington D.C.
Just a couple months before Donald Trump could win the presidency, The Trump International Hotel opens.
According to Fox News, this luxurious hotel – evolved from the famed Old Post Office building that once stood on Pennsylvania Avenue – was ready to open its doors on Monday.
Judging from the image coming from various social media channels, the hotel is an already impressive resort that aims to embrace its iconic design while infusing the entire place with modern sophistication, but first, here is the Trumps back in 2013 as they aimed to transform a beloved building into a destination hot spot.
We leave it up to you as to whether the team succeeded. Here are some snapshots found around the Internet:
This is hardly the kind of hotel you book for a casual getaway. Unless, of course, your surname has Moneybags embedded into it.
Fox News is nice enough to give us some idea of how much rooms are going for at the palatial hotel. According to the report, a soft opening period will garner room rates at about $750 per night with guests paying as much as $4,800 for the “premier Postmaster Suite.”
If you thought that was impressive, you will enjoy how things will evolve during the hotel’s regular operation period. That’s when you can expect to pay as little as $472 a night on up to $18,750 for what is described as the two-bedroom Trump Townhouse.
Celebrities, politicians and in-town dignitaries from across the globe now have a place to lay their respective heads that includes amenities that are prototypically Trump. Even the website reads like one of his speeches: “The largest luxury ballroom, the largest presidential suite and Trump signature programs await those bold enough to Think Big.”
Rooms will include a Nespresso machine and high-speed Internet, which we presume will be the most caffeinated and fastest, and you can also enjoy the BLT Prime on location, which we also assume will be the steakiest steakhouse in town.
The entire hotel is, presumably, huge – just the biggest and best
