It turns out that Mr. T has a softer side, and Fairfield Inn & Suites is tapping into it.
The actor, wrestler and television personality perhaps best known for his roles in "Rocky III" and "The A-Team" has joined forces with the Marriott International brand, starring as "Mr. Guaran-T" in a new video series designed to showcase Fairfield's satisfaction guarantee.
"The Fairfield 100% Guarantee is a promise to our guests that they'll be satisfied with their stay or we'll make it right," said Fairfield Vice President And Global Brand Manager Shruti Buckley in a statement. "Travelers want assurance that someone has their back while they are on the road, and we're communicating our commitment to guest satisfaction in a unique way."
The fun series follows Mr. T as he goes through orientation as a Fairfield associate in hopes of becoming Mr. Guaran-T.
There are failures along the way.
But also successes.
In a statement of his own, Mr. T called himself the "enforcer."
"You tell me what you need done and I make it happen," said Mr. T. "But even I had to learn a thing or two to put my muscle to work for hotel guests."
Citing a recent survey it conducted, Fairfield found that frequent business travelers find the most value in a seamless hotel experience. That, combined with the fact that nine in 10 leisure travelers believe an overt satisfaction guarantee is key to instilling guest confidence is the motivation behind Fairfield's efforts.
