Weekend deals continue to abound in the Caribbean during the autumn shoulder season. Jamaica is no exception, and is a good destination for a weekend getaway because of a number of nonstop flights from throughout the United States. The island nation is only two hours by air from Florida and four from the Northeast. This week I've compiled a couple weekend getaway deals for travelers looking to "Come to Jamaica and feel all right."
Stay longer and save at Jamaica Inn
Stretched on a private sand beach near Ocho Rios, on the Northern coast, Jamaica Inn has picture postcard views and an intimate atmosphere with around fifty guest suites on a private stretch of white sand beach. The resort is family-owned and as welcomed much of the glitterati over its nearly 70 year history. Many rooms and suites have full-sized dining tables and antique Jamaican furnishings; cottages sit on a bluff overlooking the ocean and feature secluded outdoor showers and private plunge pools.
The Fall Into Savings packages offers a 15 percent savings on three-five night weekend stays, and savings of up to 30 percent for longer stays for travel from Nov. 1 through Dec. 19.
Couples save at Sandals
The couples-only Sandals chain of all-inclusive resorts has properties throughout the Caribbean, and their flagship is in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The all-inclusive rate offers dining at the nine restaurants on property-all open year-round-regardless of seasonal demand or traffic at the resort. For extra pampering and "wow" factor, book a butler level suite, which is also included in the seasonal savings offer for fall and early winter bookings.

With a three-night minimum stay, couples can save up to 65 percent off for stays booked and traveled through Dec. 31.
Free night and resort credit Round Hill Hotel and Villas
Also in Montego Bay is the Round Hill Hotel and Villas on a secluded bay fronted by (you guessed it) a round hill. The boutique property has just 36 Ralph Lauren-designed oceanfront guest rooms with white linen covered four poster beds, and 27 private luxury villas. The main building also has an ocean side infinity pool, oceanfront dining, and a spa.
For longer weekend journeys, the hotel is offering the Forever Summer Package. Guests who book before October 15 for travel through Dec. 17 will net their fourth night free, plus a $100 resort credit.
Of course, it's important to note that hurricane season in the Caribbean lasts through Dec. 1, so it's always wise to protect any vacation investment with travel insurance.
