TripAdvisor is recognizing 16 elite hotels in 2017 by inducting them into its Hall of Fame for Travelers' Choice for Hotels awards.

The Needham, Massachusetts-based travel website announced the inaugural list Wednesday.

To qualify, the properties have managed to earn the coveted Travelers' Choice for Hotels award for 10 consecutive years dating back to 2008. For perspective, fewer than 1 percent of the 1.1 million hotels listed on TripAdvisor win a Traveler's Choice award.

Europe and Asia feature heavily on the list, with each continent accounting for four Hall of Fame-worthy hotels.

The Czech Republic's capital city of Prague proved to be the biggest winner, though, with both the Arcadia Residence and the Golden Well Hotel making the cut. The Anastasis Apartments in Santorini, Greece and the U.K.'s Rudding Park Hotel also achieved the impressive feat.

In Asia, Bali, Indonesia's Tegal Sari is the most affordable Hall of Fame inductee, boasting an average rate of just $74 per night. Another inductee offering rooms for under $100 per night is the Hotel Torre Dorada in Cusco, Peru.

Elsewhere in South America, Salvador, Brazil's Hotel Casa do Amarelindo and the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires will be inducted into TripAdvisor's Hall of Fame.

On the other end of the cost spectrum, the all-inclusive Nukubati Private Island resort in Vanua Levu, Fiji is the most expensive with an average nightly rate of $783.

The Caribbean earned two spots on TripAdvisor's Hall of Fame list, with the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and all-inclusive East Winds in Saint Lucia being recognized for their high level of service and luxury.

Across the Caribbean Sea, the all-inclusive and adults-only IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraiso in Playa del Carmen, Mexico will be honored as a result of its personalized service and fully equipped suites, among other highlights.

Quebec City's Auberge Saint-Antoine was the only other representative from North America, with its stellar views, heated floors and live jazz music helping it stand out over the past decade.

Ko Lanta, Thailand's Layana Resort and Spa, Los Altos de Eros in Tamarindo, Costa Rica and The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra, India round out the list of 2017 inductees.

Notably, zero U.S. properties will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in its first year.
