Will Trump Hotels Get a 'Yuge' Bump in Business?

Donald Trump is now the official nominee of the Republican party and, if you are the head of a major international brand of hotels, apartments and other brands, you might wonder what sort of boost that will give your business. 

In the case of Trump, Tailwind by Hipmunk south the answer to whether or not the Trump brands are experiencing a bump — or a slump — in business during this highly volatile election cycle. 

As it turns out, the Trump brands are not getting a boost from political supporters. In fact, the election seems to be taking a toll on business for Trump Hotels. 

According to Hipmunk, which compared its bookings for Trump Hotels last year to bookings for this year, business for the hotelier is down 59 percent on the site. 

The New York City and Vegas properties seem to be taking the biggest hit with bookings down as much as 74 percent.

But when all is said and done, who knows how the Trump brand will fare after the election. It has been said that no publicity is bad publicity, after all.
