Meeting and group travel planners, rejoice! The normally tedious process just got a bit easier thanks to Wyndham Rewards and the new "go meet" rewards program.
Announced Tuesday at IMEX America 2015 in Las Vegas, it affords the company's loyalty program members the ability to earn one point for every dollar spent on qualifying revenue at all participating hotels.
Meeting planners will have no restrictions on how much or how little they have to spend to earn rewards -differentiating the program from others - which will result in more rewards and quicker access to them.
The "go meet" program is the latest addition to an already revamped Wyndham Rewards. Guests are guaranteed at least 1,000 points with every qualified stay and have the chance to earn major rewards quickly, including a flat 15,000-point free night redemption rate.
This rewards program isn't exclusive to any kind of meeting planner, either. From those booking a large-scale convention at a full-service property to those booking a few hotel rooms for a sports tournament, anyone and everyone is eligible to earn points. Another exciting addition to the program is the fact that both planners and guests who are paying individually can earn rewards.
Wyndham Hotel Group president and CEO Geoff Ballotti released a statement about the relationship between the hotel giant and customers who plan group and meeting travel:

With go meet, we're recognizing planners around the world for their partnership, hard work and the business they bring to our hotels."
"Planners told us about the challenges they face, like minimum spend thresholds, maximum point limits and a lack of value. We're addressing these pain points head on with the world's most generous rewards program for meeting planners. Not only are we giving them a simple program and faster, more meaningful rewards, but with 230 hotels with 10 or more meeting rooms and 145 hotels with at least 10,000 square-feet of function space, we can meet all of their event needs."
