The Wyndham Hotel Group is expanding in Southeast Asia with the launch of its Days Inn brand in Thailand.
The rebranded 122-room Days Inn Patong Beach Phuket signals the economy brand's entry into the Southeast Asian nation.
Once the Aloha Villa Phuket, the hotel has been converted and features a pair of restaurants and a rooftop pool, among other amenities.
The hotel is located in Phuket's entertainment district and just a short walk from Patong Beach.

"Phuket is a major beach resort in Thailand and attracts millions of visitors annually," said Barry Robinson, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim in a statement. "This is a timely opportunity for us to expand our offerings, with the country hitting a groundbreaking record of 29.99 million tourist arrivals in 2015, which is a phenomenal increase of 20 percent from 2014."

Wyndham's partnership with KosMopolitan Hospitality will continue beyond the recent opening and includes several new hotels scheduled to open across the region in the coming years.
The collaboration will include both new-build and converted properties.

"Their team's expertise in managing and developing successful hotels and resorts is proven and well-respected in Southeast Asia. We share similar goals and our interests are aligned."

Following its debut, Days Inn joins a handful of other Wyndham brands operating in the region, including the company's flagship brand Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Grand Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Garden Hotels, Ramada, Ramada Encore, TRYP by Wyndham and Microtel Inn & Suites.
