Ahmad Rahami Arrested Following Police Shootout in Linden, NJ

Ahmad Khan Rahami is in police custody according to multiple news reports and various sources.

Rahami is suspected to be responsible for bombings in both New York and Elizabeth, New Jersey, and was arrested following a shootout with police in Linden, New Jersey. Officers had responded to the scene based on reports of an active shooter in the area.

Two officers were injured - one by gunfire to the vest and another after being struck by a moving car. A suspicious package was also found at the scene.

Linden, New Jersey is only about four miles south of Elizabeth where Rahami has lived and where pipebombs had been found in a train station.
