Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West has filed a lawsuit against South Beach Group Hotels in wake of a pair of alleged robberies.
ESPN.com reported the 25-year-old NFL star is seeking more than $53,000 in damages from the Metropole South Beach Hotel and an employee of the hotel following the February 2016 incidents.
In the suit, which West filed Wednesday, he alleges that an employee allowed two women, who he had met earlier, to access his hotel room by providing them with a copy of his room key as well as a bellman escort.
After entering the room, the two women allegedly stole a pair of Rolex watches, the suit claims.
The second incident occurred nearly an hour after West said he filed the initial police report when an unidentified man forced his way into the room and threatened him and his friend.
The suit alleges that the man demanded $5,000 in cash, Louboutin shoes and other items in the room. Fearing for his life, according to the suit, West complied.
Located less than one half of a mile from the beach, the Metropole South Beach Hotel is a four-star boutique hotel situated in Miami's Art Deco District.
