A British man, who was on vacation with two friends, died when he fell from a third-floor balcony of a hotel in Magaluf, Spain, the Mirror reported.
The 20-year-old Alexander Forrest, of Saughton in Edinburgh, was pronounced dead on Aug. 31 at the four-star BH Mallorca Hotel, the Mirror said.
The Mirror reported Saturday that Forrest’s older brother had just died a few weeks ago. The cause of his death is unknown.
Josh Candy, who was on vacation with Forrest, set up a JustGiving page to raise money to bring his friend’s body back home.
So far, the campaign has raised $6951.65, according to the JustGiving page.
However, a spokeswoman with Jet2.com told the Mirror on Friday that if Forrest’s insurance company will not cover the cost of the flight home, Jet2.com will take of it at no cost to the family.
The Mirror article did not include comments from BH Mallorca Hotel or local police.
