Colorado Train Conductor Dies After Falling Off Scenic Train

A train conductor died Saturday night after falling off a train on a scenic tour of Colorado, CNN reported. 

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Leslie Cacy, CNN said. The incident happened four miles from the station.

There were between 150 and 200 passengers aboard the popular tourist attraction at the Royal Gorge Railroad when Cacy fell, authorities with the Freemont County Sheriff's Office told CNN.

Investigators and medical crews are at the scene this morning, gathering additional information about the incident, CNN reported. Authorities could not immediately provide any further details.

The Royal Gorge route in Canon City is about 45 miles from Colorado Springs, CNN said.

An independent, family-owned company, the Royal Gorge Railroad launched its scenic route in 1999, the company’s website said.  The company offers first-class gourmet meals and Murder Mystery shows to its guests from around the world.

“We’re passionate about good food and wine, and knew that our guests would appreciate a truly special dining experience aboard the Royal Gorge Route,” the website said.
