On Thursday, an elderly man on a JetBlue plane died during a flight from Florida to Massachusetts.

According to The Associated Press, the unidentified man was on a JetBlue flight from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers to Logan International Airport in Boston when the flight crew reported a medical emergency.

A JetBlue spokesperson said the incident was reported just before the plane was scheduled to land in Boston, and emergency personnel were on the scene at Logan Airport to meet the aircraft when it touched down Thursday afternoon.

Officials from the Massachusetts State Police announced that the elderly man’s death was not considered suspicious and natural causes were suspected to be the cause.
